Summary
The Communications docket entails strategic management and coordination of communication channels in alignment with chapter policies and bylaws.
Functions:
- Â Define and regularly update the chapter’s communication ,publication and social media strategy, crisis communications plan, policies, goals, and objectives.
- Execute communication and social media plans/calendars, ensuring timely communication with chapter members and the community.
- Support chapter events with communication planning and execution.
- Collaborate with volunteers responsible for Marketing, Web/Technology, and Finance to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Manage the chapter’s approved communications budget in cooperation with the finance officer.
- Develop or periodically review the chapter’s social media strategy and policies.
- Create and manage social media campaigns tailored to chapter needs.
- Curate and create content, maintaining interaction with followers.
- Ensure compliance with PMI’s Social Media Guidelines and brand standards.Â
- Solicit publication content from chapter members and liaise with portfolio directors.
- Ensure relevant news is posted on the chapter’s website.
