Volunteerism is at the core of PMI’s success as the leading professional association for project management. PMI Kenya is volunteer-run and it allows you to connect to other project management professionals, develop your professional and leadership skills, and give back to your community.
The PMI Kenya Chapter’s success and growth is attributed to the committed volunteers and leaders that have invested their time giving back to the profession by building and sustaining the chapter.

  • Grow a strong professional network with other Project, Program and Portfolio Managers.
  • Gain and apply Project Management, Business Management and Leadership knowledge and skills.
  • Earn up to 25 PDUs for recertification.
How to Volunteer

Follow the below instructions to apply to volunteer for PMI Kenya.  

How to Apply to Existing Volunteer Opportunities

  1. Go to https://volunteer.pmi.org/ and login using your PMI credentials.
    1. If you are not a PMI member or do not have a PMI account, you can create one at https://www.pmi.org/account-registration

Note: Membership is not required to create an account, however you will be required to be a PMI Kenya Chapter Member to get notifications of local volunteer opportunities.

  1. If needed, update your volunteer profile information by clicking on “View and Update Volunteer Profile”.
  2. Select “Find Opportunity”. Select “Kenya Chapter” in the search criteria for local opportunities.
  3. If there are any opportunities of your interest, select the volunteer opportunity.
  4. Apply for the volunteer opportunity selected and follow the hiring process.

How to Apply to Future Opportunities

 

If there are no current volunteer opportunities or none that match your interest, update your Volunteer Profile to receive notifications and be considered for future opportunities.

  1. Go to https://volunteer.pmi.org/ and login using your PMI credentials.
    1. If you are not a PMI member or do not have a PMI account, you can create one at https://www.pmi.org/account-registration

  1. Update your volunteer profile information by clicking on “View and Update Volunteer Profile”.
  2. Ensure you select the “Areas of Interest” that match your volunteer aspirations. These will be used as criteria for future notifications.
  3. You will receive a notification once a new volunteer opportunity that matches your interest is posted.
